Ecodwell started as a solution to a perpetual housing problem in Chicago: A lack of affordable (and more specifically “green”) new construction options in the city. Combining their areas of expertise, Avi Ron of Dream Town Builders and Jeff Sommers from Square Root Architecture have introduced a brand new concept to Chicago. The duo coupled Avi’s superior knowledge of Chicago real estate with Jeff’s vast experience in affordable green home building—and voila!—Ecodwell was born.

Avi Ron
Avi Ron grew up inIsrael, where his passion for construction and design began at a young age. As a boy he would help out in his father’s workshop, spending hours captivated by the artistry, handcraft and hard work that go into the time-honored trade. As a young man he continued to master this craft and perfect his skills, and has spent the last 20+ years designing and building properties throughout the Chicagoland area. In his move fromIsraelto theUnited States, Avi was struck by the lack of concern or interest people initially had in building green. InIsraelhe had been surrounded by homes with solar panels, and knew that he wanted to implement green elements in the dwellings he would build in theU.S.
In the late 1990s Avi co-founded Dream Town Realty and established Dream Town Builders out of his desire to marry real estate sales with superior construction and unrivaled residential design. He now overseesDreamTown’s development ventures and his clients appreciate his peerless familiarity withChicagozoning laws and regulations.
